The Greene County Council on the Arts Catskill Gallery presents the third of its 2008 2nd Floor Solo Exhibitions featuring artist Michelle Moran in Search for the Sublime.

Woodstock artist Michelle Moran shows her recent oil paintings and pastel drawings. The exhibition features her stylized landscapes, in which she draws inspiration from the beauty of the Catskill region and the “limitless possibilities of the natural world.” Whether painting en plein air or in her studio, Michelle is on a quest to express the deeper meaning in her subject matter.

Michelle says, “I do not strive to be a realist but seek the subliminal essence of the landscape.”

Her education includes a B.A. in Art from New Jersey City University, and graduate studies in Art Education at Montclair University. Michelle has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions across New York State. More information about the artist is available on her web site: www.michellemoran.net.
